Edmund Fitzgerald
Author
Edmund Fitzgerald was born in London but has spent the past 15 years living in Madrid. For 25 years he worked as a trainee management accountant for an airline. Then in 2007 he took voluntary redundancy from his company and started to take writing seriously. He has since then written 2 novels, 'Your ComeUppance' and 'The AQALAN Initiative'. Both of these novels were almost exclusively written in the reading room at Madrid´s Biblioteca Nacional (Central Library), an excellent facility for which Edmund is very grateful for. They have each been published as eBooks and are available to buy at most of the big online book retailers.
As a child he read avidly and wrote short stories and soon developed his own style. His friends have likened his style to that of Ben Elton and Nick Hornby; something he's not complaining about!!! Still the avid reader that he was as a child, Edmund has recently become enamoured with the work of Aravind Adiga, author of the 2008 Man Booker Prize winner, 'The White Tiger', and his subsequent offering 'Last Man in Tower'. Will this new inspiration influence his upcoming work? Well, it may be a little while before we find out. Having taken a few years to write two novels he may have to revert to doing some serious money-earning work to fund his next foray into writing. Edmund has it in mind that his next venture will be to write a screen play. Indeed he already has the idea fermenting in his mind. Following that he would very much like to write his third novel.
